Description
This is for people with snorkeling experience who feel comfortable above and below the water. You can start AIDA 2 as a complete beginner — this course offers a comprehensive grounding in technique and safety.
It includes theory and practice sessions which help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to enjoy freediving safely. Learn proper breathing techniques, familiarize yourself with diaphragmatic breathing and take a deep breath like you never did before. In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge to freedive to depths of up to 20 meters.

Practical sessions
- Breath-hold sessions to learn breathing and relaxation techniques
- Dynamic apnea sessions: horizontal underwater swimming and efficient movement
- Open water sessions: vertical diving technique including buddy & rescue procedures
- Getting to know yourself and your buddy, and how to prepare for training sessions
By the end of the course students can hold their breath at least 2:00 min, swim 55 m dynamic and perform comfortable dives between 12 and 20 meters.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 with parent or guardian consent)
- Be able to swim at least 100 m non-stop
- Have completed the AIDA Medical Form
- Have completed the Liability Release

- Static: 2:00 min
- Dynamic: 40 m
- Depth: 12–20 m
- Depth rescue: 5–10 m
